The Online Trading Voucher Scheme offers small businesses the opportunity to develop their website or digital marketing strategy by availing of vouchers of up to €2,500 or 50% of eligible expenditure.
[Update – 1 July 2015]
LEO Fingal had a great seminar on how to start and boost your online presence and was aimed at small businesses. The session was run by Noel Davidson of QED training and it was very informative even for someone of my experience! Noel focused on WordPress for building a site which is a tool I know a lot about.
The Local Enterprise Boards are offering the great vouchers programme for small businesses to develop their web presence. You can read more here (Fingal LEO in North Dublin). Closing date is 22 July 2015 and there are about 20+ vouchers available. It is competitive so applications need to be in soon.
The main idea is that you can spend up to €5k on building or improving a trading web site and you will get a max of €2.5k back as a voucher. It can be used for web design, for addons to the site, digital marketing strategies, for content development and more. You have to have a plan and a strategy about how you are going to sell online. You can have a package of options such as a new design with e-commerce added along with a digital marketing strategy. But it must be about selling online not building a brochure site. And for LEO Fingal, you must be based in North Dublin. All the other Local Enterprise Boards have their own schedules so you can check with your own local one.
This is a great scheme to help SME’s get up and running or build a decent web site to trade online. If you need help with the application or need support getting a fantastic site, then just holler.
